Yes, when you use many layers of colors oil paintings can be gorgeous. ^^
The only problem with oil is that the fumes are toxic so I paint outside...
Also you must use paint thinner to clean your brushes in, which is also toxic so must be done outside... Cleaning after oil painting is such a drag! D:

I'm allergic to acrylics... And I don't like the smell so I rarely paint with them. Lol.XD
Acrylics are made from plastics... So not good for the skin.

I've always had a fond love for water colors... Even though water color paintings take three times longer than oil and acrylics to finish, because of all the constructive analysis you must use to paint it... but in the end you feel like you've accomplished something very amazing.
