This shall suffice. When the words came to Aleu's ears, a grimace scarred her usually soft features. Without second thought, the bottom of her foot landed square on Faline's back. Then, with a good push, it sent the other woman flying into the water.

"It's not called the Pool of 'Pat the Wounds Out with a Cloth,'" she added starkly. "It's the Pool of Healing, which entails getting your whole body wet. Not just pat-pat, dab-dab done." Crossing her arms over her chest, Aleu glanced down at the woman who seemed to splash more than a fish on land.

"Heavens," she gasped with surprise, "do you not know how to swim?" She grumbled some, knowing that she didn't need Faline to answer. Ears flicking backward, she dove into the pristine water to retrieve the other. Faline's groping and gasping acting as the only signal Aleu needed to begin her rescue. In mere seconds, her arms were wrapped around Faline's form and jerking the Unai toward the land.

"Stop squirming," she hissed. "I'll make sure you drown if you continue to splash!" Aleu grit her teeth before making the quick trip back to the water's edge. It was a good thing she was fond of water. Honestly, with the amount of time Aleu spent in the water, the wolf-woman wondered why her element wasn't water. Instead, it had to be the ever-popular darkness, something everyone seemed to magically have these days. So much for being rare, she chided inwardly.

As her hands patted the land, she shoved the woman up onto the bank. "There," her cutesy smile came onto her face, "that wasn't so bad, was it?"

With that episode out the way, the two would continue their trek further into the woods. Neither knew what true power the water had, but based on the strength that surged within, they knew they wouldn't have to seek the island's edge tonight. Their strength had been doubled, finally giving them an edge over the monster of the night....
