"I don't know. I think..." Kalia bowed her head and scrubbed her face with her hands. When she did, her fingers jammed into the edges of her helm, promising a sting that would last for about ten seconds before fading. She took a deep breath, pressing fingertips into sore eyes, then let out the breath in a sigh and looked up. Kalia picked up her journal-- which had fallen from her hands-- and stood up, offering a hand to Khadri. Which he didn't need, but she felt it polite to at least offer assistance. "I think we're both too tired. You especially. You've only just gotten off your shift, Khadri, and you need rest."

She paused, then continued after a thoughtful moment. "We should continue this conversation later. It's not... comfortable, but it's important that we stay on the same page."
