The morning was quiet, much more so than it usually was at the farm. Then again, when you live with a bunch of horses, it's only expected to be rather noisy throughout the day. Dayna sat on the horse in the middle of the town area, just looking, mentally reconstructing what it must have looked like back in the day. She pulled a foot from her stirrup, putting it on the saddle, resting her chin on her knee.

Even if coming out there had meant actually crossing blades with Vladimir, something that could've wound the woman up dead, she did not regret making the trip. If it had been merely a history trip, she probably would've even taken the kids and the old man with her. The kids definitely would've loved to see all of this. It was a completely differently world than their own, but still something that they were tied to, even if that day and age, this stuff meant nothing.

Sir Vincent sat patiently as the girl just sat there, zoned out. Though, after a little while, his ears began to lock on a sound in the distance and he started slowly walking that way. He took them around fallen lumber, overgrowth, fallen rocks and the like. Dayna did not seem concerned as the horse walked, it just gave her more to look at. He moved them through a part of the fallen wall and back into the forest where the trees gave way to a stream that opened up to a pond before continuing its life through the forest. Stream was probably a weak term, at least after the pond, the width opened up to a small river.

"Good boy," Dayna said, a smile on her face as she patted the horse's neck. The horse made his way to the water, leaning down to drink as the woman slid off. She dipped her hand into the cool liquid, taking a slow drink before retreiving her canteen from the saddle and filling it.

She sat in the clearing at the water's edge, just enjoying the world around her. It was much like how she spent her hunting trips, just enjoying the scenery. After a little while, Dayna decided it would be wise to wash off a bit, having spent two nights in the forest, not to mention fighting the day before, she probably smelled horrible.

Unlacing her boots, she set them closer to the horse than the shore, even if Sir Vincent stepped on them, they would be easier to deal with than if they ended up in the water. Dayna then pulled off the jacket, pants and under clothes, setting them beside her boots. With the jacket and under garments removed, the sunlight then laded on a series of scars, some small others much larger. The ones that took center stage were a set of 4 thick scars that went across her back.

Dayna then moved back to sit at the water's edge, she dipped her feet it, it was definitely much cooler to the feet than to the hands. Letting herself get used to the temperature, which was a nice welcome to the heat of summer, the brunette walked deeper into the water. Once the water was up to her waist, she sucked in a breath of air and dove under. She swam out until she could feel the water getting cooler and cooler with the dropping of the pond floor. Pushing back to the surface, she was closer to the center of the pond, just past the main drop off.

Back peddling a bit, Dayna got back to where she could reach again. Standing, the waters fell to just under her shoulder blades and it allowed the woman to fight through the knots of her long hair as it floated in the water.
