Clark laughed to himself. "Oh no, girly. We're not done with ye." He looked around, pretty content with the fact that most of his men were back on his ship already, the royal one almost stripped clean. He gestured to one of his other men to set the ship to sink as he watched Gerard slink up the stairs with the serving girl at his side. Lucky man. Might need a while to tame her, though. But as they say, fruit of their labors or whatnot.

"It's time to leave, your majesty," he mocked as he grabbed her by the wrist and hauled her across the plank. He could smell the cooked food wafting from the kitchens, his stomach growling at the prospect. Whatever was left of his men did away with the ship, breaking away at its foundation and leaving it to sink to the depths. His ships' sails were up and they were soon off, Clark could only take the princess to his chambers, where he invited Gerard with them in order to eat. "And bring in whomever else," he noted, eyeing the girl still at his side and giving him a firm clap on the shoulder.

The food was brought in to a large wooden table, enough to fit numerous men, and the rest was distributed throughout the crew outside, who began to drink in the (unfortunately) watery ale and feast. It was enough to sustain them for a while, if the men didn't go overboard.

Seeing Gerard losing his footing is almost comical, if Ariel could see past the fact that he was unraveling what was her best work tending to the wounded yet. At his suggestion to watch himself, she shook her head. "I can look after m'self fine," she mused, shooting sharp eyes to the rest of the men who dared look at her. She almost forgot about her predicament and thought that she was back at home, back at some old tavern which she stumbled upon from time to time when she wasn't tending to Rose. Rose. She almost forgot about her.

Ariel put one of Gerard's arms across her shoulders, never minding her proximity to him. It was obvious that he was in need of help. "That ale was a bad idea," she commented, hauling him up the steps and out to the deck, where she finally saw the carnage that he and his crew created. She almost locked knees and fell, the stench of blood was almost too much. She was never this close to death; it almost reminded her of when she was young.

"Mum..." she whispered, the ghosts of her past emerging in her vision. Ariel almost fell to the ground in horror, if it wasn't for Rose's voice piercing through her thoughts.
