Todd worked quickly, using vines to tie the sticks together at the top. After that was done, he started taking large leaves and bark and layering them over the stick-structure, using mud every once in a while to stick something together. The shelter itself was backed against a large rock, making it a cave of sorts. Within an hour, he had finished it and set up pine needle beds inside for both of them. Then he went to see how Jess was doing with the fire.
