Dero sighed and placed two fingers on the bridge of his nose, shaking his head. "That was a dick move. He had illegitimate children somewhere, you know." Dero sighed again and put his hands at his sides in a non-threatening way. He may have been a pirate, but he was no idiot. He got where he was today by not being an idiot. Behind him the path was reforming, out of view. In the darkness the dirt dropped back into place as though it had never been touched and began again just out of sight. It twisted and turned through the trees until finally running into one. Dero took a step forward. His crew followed. "As I said. We'll be on our way, then." He took another step directly in front of the ninja and stuck out his hand to shake. "By the way, the name's Dero." He stood right in the man's view, trying to block his ability to see that Dero was burying half of each stash as they spoke.
