Trey frowned as Adam brushed off his question. He hadn't thought much of why he asked it in the first place. It was less that he wanted an answer from Adam than he wanted to understand this act of killing and Adam in general himself. He fell into the routine of a vampiric life too easily, but why were things this way? Why was Adam, Adam in the first place?

The other man brushed past, commanding something that Trey didn't feel like doing. He didn't understand Trey at all. The thought left his heart skipping one beat, a very strange thing in itself. Why did he feel so anxious that Adam walked away when he normally felt the opposite. Normally he walked away from others himself. "Where...?" He couldn't bring himself to ask the full question, or to move, or make Adam stop. The other vampire brushed past him and with a simple, 'I'll be back," left Trey alone again.

Less than a minute later, he found himself on his feet. He didn't glance back at the woman and slipped out the door after Adam, leaving it bouncing against its frame, not quite slipping closed. He already lost sight of Adam, but that suited him fine. He snuck after the other man, staying back and following with his senses. Never once did he think about why he did it, or just how much he hated venturing out into cities like this one.
