Today's artist of the day is Rachel Platten. I first heard "Fight Song" by Rachel Platten during an episode of The Ellen DeGeneres Show that I was watching on Youtube. It was about a dear young girl who sang this song for her mother undergoing chemotherapy in her battle against cancer, if I remember correctly. I thought it was extremely touching and wonderful. And Ellen DeGeneres even invited the mother and her daughter onto the show, where the daughter sang the song live with -- who else but the singer Rachel Patten! The song itself is very inspiring to me as well. I think the lyrics are relatable to almost everyone, because everyone has had to face some challenge or other in their lives.


January 5, 2016 - TOKIO HOTEL



Today's artist of the day is Tokio Hotel. Look at these songs I found today deep down in my playlist! It is "Monsoon" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Le_IyYLrUtQ and "Durch Den Monsun" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S_Sy5-sOodA which are essentially the same song except one is in English and the other, in German. What's funny is that the translation in this video is in French, so I still do not completely understand all of the lyrics being sung.
