2014 started off with a bang, hanging out with an unexpectedly mixed group of new and old friends that even a few hours earlier I wouldn't have expected to be with.

While watching the fireworks display in the city together I felt optimistic that even though I don't know what the future holds for me this year I will take each day as it comes and expect the unexpected and see the positive perspective.
