I didn't buy anything for my mother this year for Mothers' Day this year. Instead I made a simple card for her with simple drawn depictions of us as our inside joke animal versions of the two of us and I wrote a note/letter in Chinese...she liked it, and she also liked that I tagged her in a facebook post of a public display oversized heart shaped boquet which said "Happy Mothers' Day‘ written on it.

Considering it'd been rainy even just yesterday...the sunny day with light breeze and comfortable temperatures made it a good day to go out, which we did too, as a family.
