In the shady cover, Wufei let his body relax fully. He trusted Isamu's word when the man said he would keep him safe. It was strange but from the first second their eyes met, he felt a connection, or at least proof of the man's kind heart there in his eyes. Even if he knew this could never last, Wufei closed his eyes, content that at least for now, he was safe. Their very air of this place told him so, like a faint breeze caressed his cheek. At least here, in this temple, war did not exist. A minute later, he felt himself drifting into a sleep he'd needed for so long but never found himself able to take. Not just closing his eyes and resting, but a true sleep. As soon as it came, he found himself lost deep within it.
