The smell alone was enough to make Adam stop playing mid-song... That smell, he'd smelled it before. It smelled a lot like her. She couldn't be here, she died... He watched her. She was gone, but this smell... He never met anyone else who smelled like she did. He searched the room for the person emitting the smell but was only welcomed with confused glances.

"Adam?" One of the ladies asked, "What's up, why did you stop?"

Adam watched the doorway as a shadow of a person disappeared around back. The smell disappeared with it. Looking up at the woman, Adam tried his best to play it off... He was never exactly the smoothest with thinking on his feet. He stumbled through mumbling a sentence,

"I thought there was a bug..." Adam turned to face the piano, "It was nothing." And he continued playing as though he'd never stopped. At this moment, he realized just how much he missed her... Wow, thinking that he could still smell her. Still, no one he'd ever met smelled like that and he felt something strange in the pit of his stomach... Something was definitely afoot.
