There was one in his territory that smelled different. Tage lifted his head toward the air, inspecting each odor carried on the breeze. Blueish grey hair fluttered about his neck, the silvery tips giving it an appearance like winter rain. With his heightened senses, even outside the city, he could pick this scent up. It'd been around for some time. The pack wanted to leave it alone, but he was alpha and he found the scent interesting. Wolf yes, but so much more than that. Today, he decided he had enough of watching and inspecting. Today, he would go meet this wolfish man.

Dropping down, he shifted into his full wolf form before setting off down the rocky ledge he sat on and toward the city that opened up below him. The Appalachian pack ran almost twenty strong with territory ranging along the mountains and down south, including New York City, their most prized victory. These days, werewolves packed large and fewer in between. Everything weak got weeded out centuries ago, killed by competition or humans. His pack was neither the largest or smallest out there, which was exactly how Tage planned to keep it. Still, the existence of this other magical being nearby could be a threat or a boon. Best to get things straight early on.

Once he neared the highways, Tage ran a while as a wolf until the presence of civilization became too strong. There he shifted to his human form once again. His brown jeans and grey furred jacket reappeared as well, accented by the weight of his dog tags. By then, the sun was high in the sky, but it didn't take long to run into the city even in his human form. The scent he followed stood out no matter how many smothered the city's air. Tage followed it right to a cafe on Long Island where he stood on the other side of the street for a second. The other man looked as interesting as he smelled.

Finally, he strode between the cars and right to the other's table. He wore an air of command that felt natural and yet not in this human form. "I've been looking for you," he stated before continuing after a pause. "...Werewolf."
