March 30, 2016 - LANA DEL REY



Today's artist of the day is Lana Del Rey. My second cousin from out of state introduced me to Lana Del Rey one time a few years ago when she came to visit. She was absolutely in love with Lana Del Rey's voice, plus she was a huge fan of the Great Gatsby movie that had come out around that time. Apparently one of Lana Del Rey's songs, called Summertime Sadness, was part of the The Great Gatsby soundtrack https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1Ph_...nKy_&index=324. I still have not seen The Great Gatsby, but I have read the novel many times, and the ending always saddened me. My second cousin also showed me this song, which I thought sounded very sincere.
