I thought I was over it but clearly I was wrong.
apple pies are so good.
I like to cook the filling before I put it together that way when it gets baked there won't be such a huge gap between the filling and the top crust.
the last one I made I used a little apple cider to get it started.
then about a pound of peeled apples.
some sliced almonds.
about a half cup of craisins.
then some nutmeg and cinnamon.
It was really enough for two pies by the time I was done but it was so good.
