As Roland left the room he noticed the boy watching him. He hoped the boy had not seen him hide the pills, something he was not ready to give up yet, but didn't want Alexi to know about.

Still not in the mood for conversation, Roland set about cleaning up the main area. He found a large bowl for the fruit, and stacked the other items in the cabinets. He looked at the bottle of wine, wishing he had had time to go to his father's study for the stronger stuff, something he was sure even Alexi would appreciate right now.
