Adam was slow to respond to Trey's query. People? Truth was there probably were, after all it was an apartment complex. However, Adam assumed, like many Parisians, that the people here worked during the day, which was the time Adam slept, and they stayed in their apartments at night, which was when Adam worked. He never saw very much if the people who lived in his building while he was in Calais. He didn't think that would change with the city either.

Adam slowly closed the gap between himself and Trey. A more sinister idea forming in his head, he finally responded to Trey, "Not for long." Adam brushed passed Trey and walked into the building. He didn't have a plan, he would just trust his luck that someone would have left the safety of their home and Adam would attack them, drink them, then proceed to take over their living space. Adam's hunger was so insatiable, he often did things like this where he'd kill whoever happened to be walking by. It would probably be his downfall.

Adam quickly glanced over his shoulder at Trey, only for a second, then went back to stalking the halls. Moving quickly, yet stepping very lightly that he didn't make any sound. There was an open door at the end of the hall, Adam only hoped whoever had left the door open lived in their own. Which, was likely, it was a big city, many families had lived in houses rather than apartments. Adam's hunger took the better of him yet again, and without much grace, he swiftly crossed the doorway and found that the person in the apartment was, in fact, a woman. She was sleeping soundly in a chair in her kitchen, probably fell asleep there after a long days work.

Without much sound, Adam approached her and mercifully killed her quickly, her eyes never opened, though she did make a strangled gasp as Adam's teeth sunk into her flesh. She tasted wonderful, if that said anything about her. When he was satisfied, he let her body slide to the tiled kitchen floor and he sauntered into the shadows of another room, just searching the place for any remnants that would suggest she had family or friends who might come looking for her.

"Trey." Adam called. He waited patiently for Trey to come inside and have something to regain his energy. He left the woman on the floor for Trey to find. Adam didn't think much of it, he thought he was being pretty generous.
