Nostalgia

Bubblegum pops
You breath in
Everything drops
The games begin

All you need is a stick
and you can be a knight
Even if you're sick
your laugh is still bright
And
all you need is a leaf
and you can surf the air
No moment's ever too brief
with the wind in your hair
The sky is the limit
Your life is like a dream
You can see that there's more in it
than what it may first seem.

Because you dream big
even though you're small.
A tiny little twig
who will one day grow up tall.

A little one with endless imagination

Life had much less complications
without the pressure of expectations.


I'm not normally much of a poet, I've only written a couple here and there but I'm trying to broaden my horizons a little. This is very rough but it conveys the idea I wanted, so I'm happy with it for now! I'll probably edit it again at some point. Any constructive criticism is welcome, please let me know what you think!
