"Good job Ella!" Alexander half-exclaimed and half-whispered as the two of them were brought to the other side of whatever room it was.

Taking off the night-vision goggles, he put his flashlight away to take a better look at their environment. There were stairs and a door which he followed without a second thought or opinion. If his hunch was correct (which it was), it would lead to the yoga studio and easy-peasy the case was implicated...except that it wasn't. In fact the stairs led to a basement with various newspaper clippings, final notices, and letters tacked onto the walls. Rather than simple equipment, there was more information about mining, stories about cave-crawlers in the Crystal Caves, and a letter of eviction from some unknown (presumably rich) land owner.

At this point Alex had already taken his phone out to snap pictures of the relevant clippings (particularly the bankruptcy letter) and some of the various costumes laid on the floor. This room, if his detective's hunch was again correct, made the perfect passageway between mining and yoga instruction since it was hidden away from any passing explorers or students. And even better-at this point he picked up one of the costumes to test for elasticity-it was the perfect choke hold.

"You should keep going Ella," he said, "I've got the perfect plan to trap our cave ghouls, but we need to get the others over here first."

He glanced at her with the copyrighted "I-want-to-set-a-trap" look on his face, ready to start spinning a web of metal and rope in the room. His mental gears were already rolling with ideas on how to capture the grunts of the operation, but catching the mastermind would be the real reward.
