She looked at the two he was talking to and was amazed that the captain was a woman. She had thought the man beside her was the captain. She was bouncing slightly behind the barrel, clearly really wanting this to go the way they wanted.
He raised an eyebrow at the boy, looking him over from the railing. Then he turned his head to speak to the captain. "We could always use a good cabin boy. He doesn't look strong enough to fit in anywhere else." Then he looked back at the boy, leaving the decision to the captain. Bones usually recruited the men, but left the final decision up to her.
