“Good, but let’s hope that my son will learn, how to feed properly.” She got up and managed a smile. “Damien told me that his is willing to feed on unworthy fledglings, it’s not the healthiest source of blood, but it might be a way for him to adjust to feeding properly.” She managed a smile and laced her fingers. “You’re a noble and still a high ranking member on the council, if all goes well you could bring the fledgling here for my son.” She unlaced her fingers. “But, that will partly depended on how things go.”

Connie got up slowly. “My old master had a garden….but I only got to see it or a few hours on nice days, he didn’t want his cattle to get lazy…..at least that was what he called us.” She shook her head. “I was kept with the group that was untouched, he never said why that was, and if any had asked our master would have said nothing.” She shivered for a moment, but managed to calm herself. “We should go.” She took Damien’s hand in hers and started walking.
