Terry is an adorable dork. Quiet, kind, introvert. Has a walking prosthetic, a biking prosthetic, and is saving up for a mountain-climbing prosthetic. Loves the outdoors, and has been working hard on rehab so he can get back into hiking. Has dark curly hair that becomes a tangled mess when doing much of anything, so he often wears bandannas with interesting patterns (skull & crossbones! Kitties and yarn!) that tend to completely clash with the rest of his outfit. (Thankfully lover Ashton has little color vision in one eye. XD )
Terry has a small house with a garden out back. He has an extensive herb garden, and less extensive vegetable garden. He likes his books, and spends a fair amount of time reading on his back porch. Has been adopted by a gray mackerel-and-white tabby cat.

Ashton has been out of the service for six months. He has some extensive (but largely hidden) biological modifications – right eye has low-light vision but limited color perception, he has higher olfactory receptor density, and an active Jacobsen’s organ. He's the quiet, thoughtful type, doesn't speak unless he has something worthwhile to say. Very much a people person, loud when he does talk. Ashton has many grumpy opinions about all sorts of things, but he mostly keeps those to himself. He is excellent at debating rationally, but has to monitor his volume. He gets loud when he's around people. No hearing loss, just personality.
The mods, between light and smell sensitivity, mean he has frequent migraines that make being around people difficult. He's one of the few Dogs (aka modified soldiers) living in a city. Because of light sensitivity, he has to wear sunglasses with an extra-dark lens on bright days. Wears wraparounds. Has three good pair (day-to-day, car, backup in the nightstand) and has a box of cheap ones at home.
Because of the tendency to be overwhelmed by unfamiliar scents in the city, he always wears leather so he has something to focus on. Jacket in the winter, necklace and wide bracelets in the summer. Most of it's varying shades of brown, the jewelry dark with wear. When he wears shinies, they're generally gold or copper. He prefers earth tones, browns and reds and oranges.
He's currently working with the Kellton PD (KPD) as a scent tracker. Had trouble finding a job, and is happy to be useful and around people again. There is some argument (and some bad jokes) about whether he's considered part of the K9 unit or not.
He lives in a small apartment in a high-rise with concrete floors. He's casually moving his things over to Terry's and pretending Terry hasn't noticed.
