As she stared down his offered hand instead of taking it, he rose an eyebrow at her curiously, and ended up watching her attempt to get up on her own quietly. It failed, needless to say, her body seeming weak at the moment. She may have been running for quite a while... His steady eyes grazed hers as she finally accepted his offer to help her up, his hand not having moved as she had tried to get up without it. When both of her hands clutched his, he closed his hand firmly around hers and assisted in lifting her with a gentle pull upwards. Once she was standing before him, he felt her gaze, and allowed his eyes to find her red ones again. She's got some spirit. Trailing over her face for a moment, his eyes lingered for but a moment on the green color of her hair and lips. It was painfully apparent that she wasn't from around here, or at least this region, yet at the same time... There was something appealing to him there. As she released his arm, he let it drop casually to his side.

A small grin curled his lips as she finally spoke up, but his eyes remained steady on her, as if ensuring that she really was alright. Then, after a few moments of his eyes' searching, he nodded and looked around the clearing carefully. "Good." He replied simply, his words with a little emphasis as he decided they were indeed alone, and safe for the moment. He heard her speak clearly, but otherwise occupied himself. Turning his back to her as she spoke, he knelt over one of the bodies, searching it briefly to remove a small coin pouch and a concealed blade. Looking it over for a moment, he tucked it away on his person before moving to inspect the one to his side, scavenging for supplies while they at least had a few minutes.

"Yes. We should both move on inside for the night... Bandit activity gets far worse at night." He spoke in agreement, picking another blade off of this second man as well as their coin purse. Then standing and sighing, he turned to face her again, offering her the second blade he picked up by the handle. "Take this. I'll get you out of harm's way for the night. There's a tavern back along the river." He spoke thoughtfully, then cast another glance at her hooded face, unsure of what he further he could do for her after the inn stay. He had his own rhythm here, his own quiet way of life now. This may just be risking that lifestyle. Still... I can't leave a pretty girl out for the bandits. Sighing, he scratched the back of his head lightly with a gloved hand, black leather up to his elbow. His other hand, the one he helped her up with, was kept bare.

"Let's go before more come, huh?" He decided, stepping past some brush and waiting for her to decide on whether she'd follow him.
