Unions are seriously the most important thing, and should be so much more prevalent and stronger. Even a lot of the unions we do have in the US vary greatly (as in, some are stronger than others; some are corrupt or unaccountable, or just plain ineffective/incapable of being effective due to how the ruling class elites antagonize and exploit).

I'm not unionized, but I'm in a very secure place job-wise, at least for the time being, for which I'm grateful. I was laid off from a job one year ago, and it took me four months to find work—and that work I found was a contractor job which didn't guarantee a permanent role. So here I am two jobs later and I feel like I can actually breathe!
