Jurupa Mae bolted upright in her bed. "The summer carnival! I almost forgot!" She tossed the covers aside and quickly got out of bed and headed to the shower. Today promised to be a great time and Jurupa Mae looked forward to funnel cake, cotton candy, and most importantly the RIDES! She hurriedly washed and got out to get dressed. She picked a beautiful purple dress and her favorite white boots. She brushed her hair out and pulled it back still wet and ran out the door.
She arrived at the carnival and ran toward it like a little kid. She stopped and smelled the air and took in the sites around her. She bought some cotton candy and tore in to it, her lips and tongue turning blue from the colored sugar. She began to wander in search of someone she knew.
