Iltu blinked. Was Lilith laughing to help put her at ease? Or was she laughing at her? It was always so hard to tell! Choosing to believe the former, since Lilith did seem quite friendly, Iltu let herself relax a little.

"Oh, it's not rude," she said, reminding herself to smile a bit. The corners of her mouth turned up in a way she hoped was friendly. "You, um, don't have anything to make up for. Or anything," she finished lamely. "Thank-you, though! I mean, I'm grateful for the offer. That's very nice. Of you."
