I was just denied dinner as a "joke". My grandfather and I agreed to stay out of the kitchen so my grandmother could putter around. She never just gets things done, she has to putter and it's best to stay out of the way. I went down to put something in the fridge and she told me I couldn't eat because I didn't help. After my grandfather protested, my grandmother declared it was a joke and we had no sense of humor.

Honestly, it's like people don't know what jokes are any more. Jokes are funny, not mean.
