Clark's mind reverted back to food once the princess mentioned it. He realized he hadn't eaten in a while and wanted nothing more than just a good piece of meat to eat. He figured that the women could cook for them, although he couldn't be half-assed to check them for poisons on their person. The last thing he wanted to deal with was an epidemic among his men. He ordered some of his men to get the women cooking, mostly on this ship since they wouldn't have much back on his ship. Clark could take this ship for himself but going against The Dreaming Serpent sounded more like suicide to him. He and the ship have gone through thick and thin already.

The most he could do to the ship is get most of its treasures for himself.

Clark was about to turn to ask Gerard what to do but he realized that he wasn't in the room with him. With a small sigh, he ordered the rest of the men to procure some food for them to feast on, and cook the rest, before they left the ship. He offered a hand to the princess and said, "Will you care to join me?" His voice was almost mocking, maybe even hoping that she would come to her senses once she sees the destruction outside created by him and his men.

Ariel kept her mouth shut at Gerard's order, picking up a bottle of ale from the stash that the sailors kept for themselves. The king usually send watered down ale for people of his stature to enjoy, cheating them out of their money. They would probably work for someone like the princess' size, but for the usual ale drinker, they wouldn't do jack shit. Ariel was able to find the secret stash only a few hours after they left port. The sailors didn't care for where they stored it; most of the upper class were stuck in their rooms for the most part.

She came over to Gerard with a bucket of water, the supplies she needed, and some ale. Before she gave the bottle to him, Ariel opened it and took a swig for herself. She also poured some over the wound, hoping to clean it out, and maybe start up some pain before she fixed it up. "Here," Ariel muttered, handing the bottle to him as she dabbed at the wound with a piece of cloth.
