Millions of people ride it every day.

They sneeze. They blow their nose. And then they put that hand on the bar you're holding. Or that guy who had a bit too much to drink and puked on the floor where you're standing. Or that hobo who totally pissed on that seat you're sitting on. Or maybe that person who cut their finger or that used condom...

The cars get cleaned and stuff but seriously. It's pretty safe to imagine that every inch of NYC has at one time had some sort of bodily fluid on it.
