Marwo heard soft rustling above her head and drew knives, reacting more sharply and quickly than any human would have. Her pose relaxed when he threw off hood, but although she didn't look hostile anymore, she would be able to defend or attack any moment. Then again, she didn't need any weapon to go into offensive which Blue Eyes didn't know. On top of that, the men (and priestess) after her couldn't know that she was not a scared measly thief chased into a trap, either, so there were still more than one unexpected points she could score against any side.

Yes, she considered drow a potential enemy. If she knew people at all, then he was in this for more than just some fun and adventure. Besides, the woman had learned to always keep in mind what she'd do if she was in the other person's shoes. That's right - betray, grab the bag (the way his eyes lingered at the goblet had not slipped by Laeth's attention) and flee in confusion before someone suspected the items had changed hands.

Still, Blue Eyes didn't have to know she suspected him and she grinned slightly, seemingly not intimidated by the serious situation. "Now, it depends if you'd be willing to help me out for a bit. You wanted to get some excitement, right? If we split the guards up, we could easily overwhelm them... I know I can, at least." She quirked eyebrow as her tone changed slightly, as if in questioning if she had overestimated his abilities to assume he could do the same.

While they exchanged these little pleasantries, voices came closer and a twist to one of her plans came to Marwolaeth's mind and inwardly, she grinned wickedly.

She had trusted her guardsmen to keep on thief's heels while she got to her horse and rallied some more of the town's guards and yet again, they had failed the task entrusted to them. When Lacrimae arrived, few were still indecisively lingering at the edge of the forest. "What are you waiting for? Spread out, search the woods! Chase them towards the edge!" she called to them, also motioning to some the men following her to do the same. At least some of the guards on foot had already headed in, not waiting her orders like sheep. Other of her new 'forces' she told to patrol the border of forest and guard the steeds.

The sneaky woman and her partner couldn't have gotten too far yet, water cutting off most of escape routes. And they'd comb each bush, each tree until they caught the thieves in a circle and pushed towards the cliffs where they would be an easy target for capture. Mae had been trained to fight and ride, but somehow, no one had taught her strategy, but it seemed like best course of action. The forested area wasn't so big that they couldn't turn it into a trap. A thought as radical as burning forest down did not cross her mind, for she instinctively did not wish to harm nature.

Elf did not stay out of the search either, two men following her into the darkness that she shattered with orbs of light. These were not weapons - yet, they only lit their paths until she'd charge them further. Sense of anger and being ashamed gave Mae energy, she felt like a full cup about to overflow and had to remind herself to keep the lid on. This was not yet worth losing her cool and unleashing something too strong. In fact, it only would diminish her image further. She had to be strong, wise and calm - absolutely confident of their success. And in a way, she was, just not as much as she'd like to be...
