Clark watched over the ship for a brief while as his men went and plundered what they could. This was the jackpot for them, as the fog really started to lighten up and it turned out to be one of the king's bigger ships. It was obvious that a ship of that size would hold something precious. He kept a close eye on Gerard, though. As his first mate, he almost felt responsible for him, even though Gerard had a few more years on him.

He grabbed a rope and swung over once he realized that Gerard was down, with a gash on his chest. He landed in front of the guards, cutlass in hand, with a near murderous look in his eyes. The first one that attempted to lunge at him first was met with a strike to the chest. Clark stepped back, his weapon pointedly waving at the rest of them. "You can either fight me, or jump overboard. Your choice," he seethed. A couple of his men stood stock still behind him as they finished off their targets. The guards hesitated, one of them disregarding the warning and attacked with a yell.

Clark made a small smile. He simply stepped to the side and struck the man's back with a deeper gash.

"Anyone else?"

The noises died down. Ariel feared the worst. "Milady, I don't think this is the time to be worrying about food." She got up and tried to get the chests off the wall, unraveling the leather straps. "Don't you realize the danger we're in? Have you heard of pirates and how they rape and pillage?" She screamed, almost hysterical. Ariel pushed what chests she could with her small frame. The chests could only move a few feet at a time, heavy with wedding gifts and thick clothing. She could never understand the idea of layering clothes like royalty.

"This is not the time to worry about a meal. Worry about your own life, miss!"
