Not even bothering to comment on her remark about magic not being real, Felix could only roll his eyes. That wasn't the first time he had heard that from someone, and he was certain it wouldn't be his last. While he had found it foolish that they never gave things outside of what they could do a chance, always calling it make believe or silly, their refusal to believe in things did help keep his kind hidden for as long as it had. He could only imagine the worst when he considered what would happen if they discovered what people like him could do, his mind going straight to instances such as the Salem Witch Trials.

Felix watched intently as the girl walked up to the shadow, the throbbing in his head beginning to worsen. What the hell does she think she is doing? He thought, placing a hand against his forehead. What he had called bold before now appeared to him as absolutely crazy. Even he wasn't about to begin waltzing up to the thing.

Despite her being determined that this was only some sort of mind game, Felix wasn't sold on the idea that they were entirely safe. After all, he had never met anything that would go away simply because he had asked it nicely. Even though the shadow was now gone from their sight, the feeling in his head only continued to grow.

Before he could voice his concerns, the girl was being thrown through the air. "Shit." He muttered, instantly rushing towards her to make sure she was alright. He came to a stop as he noticed the shadow continuing to go after her, realizing that at this point he had no choice but to do something. Felix knew his powers would be rusty, he had been avoiding them for so long that he wasn't sure what would come out of using them again so suddenly. But if he didn't try the girl was only going to get more hurt, or worse...

Holding a hand out in front of him, Felix closed his eyes in concentration. "C'mon, don't fail me now..." Mumbling a few non-English words, he opened his eyes just in time to watch the shadow stop completely in its tracks. It had become unmoving, much like a statue. That hadn't been the spell Felix intended to use, but it was better then nothing. He moved instantly to the girl's side, knowing the shadow wouldn't be frozen forever.

Scooping her up in his arms, Felix shook her slightly, "C'mon wake up, we have to get out of here," He continued to lightly shake her, keeping a nervous eye on the shadow, "Please don't be dead..."

(Sorry it took me a couple days to get to this!)
