Akari had been quietly sipping her ale, watching the little drama playing out while Rei ate the meats with joy as Everest scratched her. She had let the conversations roll over her. As Alai had pointed out, the Quest was about learning about others. She'd been out of her village for three months now, and in the short time she'd been sitting in the tavern she'd learned more about various races and creatures than she had in all those months.

However, once the strange man she'd heard call himself Kry entered, Rei went on alert. She screeched softly to him in greeting. Akari frowned. Something about the man was bothering Rei.
