Kuroyami sighed slightly, watching the woman from the shadows of the window. She took her time, mulling around the land that his people had once called home. He frowned slightly, she seemed calm for the moment, acting as if nothing happened the day before. He knew better than to think that though, she would not so easily brush it off. Not when she had come all the way here, swearing she would end him. Find justice for her family. He clicked his tongue, emitting a slight “tch” under his breath. She was more of a nuisance at the moment. Sighing a bit, he turned away from the window. He made his way out of the room, the effects of the night’s change fully gone from him. He appeared like a normal human once more.

She was going to be sticking around, that was not hard to gather from events. He could not convince her to leave and give up this foolish pursuit. At the same time however, he had thought about what she had said. Death, it was something that meant more to him than it might to others. History had wound itself in and out of life and death within the two families. He paused, leaning against the wall a bit. His eyes moved to another window nearby. He stayed there for the time being, his eyes on the sky outside. He didn’t need to move to it to know that she was out there. Probably still enjoying her time in the water. To be so calm in such a place. She was indeed odd. Shaking his head, he had things to do. Moving between buildings with that girl out there would be difficult though.

He had wanted to avoid confrontation, but such things might have already been slipping out of reach. He could move around if he wanted to, without her seeing him. Why should he hide though? Avoid her, like he was doing something wrong? Was that not in a sense what she was accusing him of? Being in the wrong? He would not hide from her, if she wanted to make a move, he would take it head on. He would not force himself to cower from a human, from the stigma that she and everyone else seemed to have. Did he have a right to live? A right to die? Shaking his head, he pushed off of the wall. He headed down to the main doors, pushing them open without a care. This woman had stirred up thoughts and feelings he had been keeping at bay till now.

Why did he care? Why would he allow one meeting to make him think, to question? Probably because in truth, he had been doing it anyways. Secretly, within himself, never really letting it surface to much. He could not allow it to. He could not allow himself to go through this…not again.. Closing off his mind, he pushed all of the thoughts away. He turned down the path, not even glancing in her direction. He knew she was there though, the smell of her on the air. The presence of her there as well. This was indeed going to be a pain of a day.
