"~I-I'm not scared,~" Pedro shot back despite the way his body slumped closer to the floor. Of course he felt scared of a fight like that. He never even got into tiffs with other cats. If those guys had knives, then how should he act? After another second, he stood up straighter, ears and chest tilted forward. "~Show me what to do. Let's fight now so I can prove I won't be in the way. Right now. You'll show me how to fight!~"

Tai glanced up when Sophie reentered the room, trying not to look like he'd just been caught doing something. His mind still gravitated toward his short text conversation, but he managed a natural smile as he finished buttoning his shirt again and sat on the bed. "Thank you. This looks really good, Soph. The cats sure are making a lot of noise. Are they getting along alright?" Just having Pedro, he didn't feel bad taking off with Sophie for a weekend, but with two cats now, he hoped it would be alright.
