Cain's eyes hardened. He didn't know who this guy was, or even what because he had a suspicion he messed with something he should not, but he also knew that going back the other direction was dangerous. So whichever way he went, he'd prefer to pick his danger himself. "Don't treat me like some child. I don't need protection from a stranger!" he snapped with a lunge. He had his knife in hand and no desire to let anyone stand in his way. Maybe he would listen to this guy's advice in the end too, but first, he would make it his choice.
