The feathers fell silently and as light and white as the snow around them. Except for that one single feather that drifted down, mottled gray. A single tear ran down her cheek from twinkling emerald eyes. For the imperfection of such a creature only made it all the more beautiful and all the more real. She held it softly in her hand, stroking the silky feather as she stood bathed in the Angel’s light, just the two of them alone on that harsh winter night.
