“and I never expected you too.” Robert said more to his book then to his new roommate. Was he always going to get bent out of shape because he did not know something? Or did it have to do with family’s and such. Had there been a raise in his voice on the word family? No he had to have been imagining that it was happening. From all he had seen about this guy and his family they had such a loving environment. Maybe it was just something that had happened recently that had not hit the papers yet that was setting him off.

Robert had thought that his roommate had fallen asleep when he spoke up again. So that was what had ticked him off. he waited as Malum talked on about how he had the idea for the new valve and not the guys over in R&D. “it’s a pity you did not file a patent on the idea before telling them about it. Would not have take to much to file it under your name. then they would have had to pay you for the idea even if you told it to them. you would have had it documented.” Looking up from his book he waited to see if the other young man would say anything more. He had noticed that for the third time he had read the same section over again and he did not want to keep reading about the loss of land to the whites over one more time. It was enough that his father had told him over and over that if his people had stood up for themselves a lot better this whole nation would look different.
