First day of school.

It felt...a bit strange to be thinking that. He'd pulled himself out from public schooling for a couple years and to be heading back into it felt almost surreal. Eun-Jeong pushed his blankets aside as he rose and reached for his alarm clock, silencing it as he stared at the time. Would there be any familiar faces to haunt him in the halls of the high school? Anybody who would recognize him as the boy he used to be? With a muted sigh, the alarm clock was set back down and he got up from the edge of the bed, his bare feet making tapping sounds against the hardwood floor of his room. He maneuvered around a pile of magazines his agent had sent him that he had recently been featured in and peered into his closet. After selecting his outfit for the day, he laid them out on his bed and snagged a towel as he crossed the hall into the bathroom.

After a shower and other morning necessities, he crossed back to his room with a towel wrapped around his waist. Clothes were pulled on and then he dried and styled his hair, pulling it back into a ponytail. He paused in front of his mirror to check his ensemble before grabbing the bag he had stocked with a few school supplies and a few magazines and left his room, closing the door behind him. As he passed by the door of his cousin's room he knocked to make sure he was up before continuing down the hallway to the staircase. After leaving his bag near the shoe rack, he headed into the kitchen and dug around for a pan to cook with, grabbing stuff out of the fridge. He didn't really feel like doing anything complicated so set to making some fried rice for breakfast. It was simple enough and didn't take too long to cook.

Since Ryu had come to live with him, Eun-Jeong had taken to making sure the fridge and pantries were always stocked, instead of the way they used to be where he would only on occasion have food in them, since he didn't eat unless he felt hungry, and sometimes he just forgot to eat altogether. He didn't need his cousin finding out about that, so as soon as he'd heard that he was coming over, he'd gone out and bought groceries and things to fill up the kitchen with. He'd also gone and cleaned the room that Ryu had used before for him. And dusted and cleaned the majority of the rest of the house. With Ryu here, Eun-Jeong was more careful to watch his own behaviour. He had really only spent time in his own room and sometimes the living room during his solitary years when he was actually home.

When the food was cooked, Eun-Jeong plated the rice onto two plates and dumped the extra into a plastic container to cool. If Ryu wanted it, he could bring it for lunch, otherwise, it would just end up being shoved back into the fridge. He set the plates on the table in the kitchen, not seeing the point of heading into the dining room to eat when the kitchen was fine. As he waited for Ryu to join him, he played with the lip of the glass of water sat in front of him, once more letting his mind wonder about how high school life would be.
