Layland worked without stop until lunch time. There were so many intricacies to work out. He couldn't exactly work backwards to create a cure like many a person would think. In fact, he had to work forwards. The first thing Layland did was to recreate the original love potion which took a number of hours. That was the easy part though, only tedious because of various boiling temperatures and the exact rations that needed to be accounted for. There were a number of active ingredients within the compound, so his job was now to find a chemical that would render those inert.

He had quite a few theories already worked out. The first two didn't work. The third test though, it showed some promise. The second he saw the active ingredients go still, he poured the liquid into a bottle and cleared his work station. He didn't have time for more tests, or more information. He would test it on the real working potion right now, if Cian would have it. Sure Layland couldn't be sure it would work. He didn't know how the love potion's chemicals had reacted with Cian's unique physiology, but he would only step across the threshold when he had to.

Cian should have been in the art building at this time, so Layland made his way there. He wandered through the halls for a bit, looking for a sign of the small man with brilliant eyes. He didn't stop for anything and didn't even notice when he passed the poppy girl. He had a one track mind and he was only here for Cian.
