For the first time in hundreds of years, Gemini took no pleasure from the human's fear. She could sense it, clear as sunshine and sweet. It reminded her of fresh, cool water from an underground spring...and yet she couldn't enjoy it. Why? Because it was this human? She sat up, crossed her legs and leaned her chin on her fist, watching the still-unnamed male. She waited while he calmed himself, and listened when he spoke. She didn't answer him- what was the point? He wanted her to leave him alone, and talking to him anyway wouldn't solve anything.
She watched him skulk back to his corner and hummed thoughtfully. What could she do to make this human trust her? Of course that will be difficult, since I kidnapped him. Not to mention the stories he's doubtless heard about me. She mused, still staring at the space where he had disappeared. Perhaps if she showed him she wasn't like the stories. That she wasn't a monster. But how? That was the difficult part.
