Shail glanced at the cauldron. She gestured as if to say, 'help yourself'. It was almost like...home. His heart grew heavy, but at the same time, he felt relieved. In the face of hunger, his fear abated, leaving him moving across the cave on light feet. He filled his bowl and sat there, eating without looking up at the djinn. He couldn't meet her eye just yet, but he felt grateful for this, even if he couldn't admit it. Once he'd finally finished, he set the bowl aside. "Thanks," he murmured under his breath. Turning away, he headed back to the alcove, but with much less speed. Did he maybe want to get stopped? He couldn't imagine so, but then why didn't he quicken his feet?
