I was trying to avoid the use of red. I thought at least with raspberry, I could get a purply-pink instead of flat out pink. I don't know. Weird logic I guess.

I feel you. I can spend hours on a single avatar. And even then not be happy with it. I made an entry for Linnea's contest, but then decided not to resubmit when she told me my avatar didn't meet requirements. I didn't really like it much after I changed it anyways. And I wasn't feeling the pirate theme/color much so I just gave up.
