The city was filled with life, androids and other synthetic being were working away in shops or doing chores, others sat inactive in shop windows with humans staring in trying to make a choice on which one they would want or dreaming of having one for their very own. Those good enough bought the top of the range parts and built their own but in order for them to function properly you had to know exactly what you were doing.

Most of the stores and buildings were owned by one gigantic corporation, The Company. They owned everything, including the government. People who disagreed with their ways had a habit of 'disappearing' as though they never existed. It was because of this a rebellion had begun to rise, always staying hidden away, it being unheard of for them to be caught that the citizens were beginning to doubt The Company and yet too scared to voice their opinions. The rebellion was divided up into many small units, some stationary while others were mobile, making it harder to pinpoint them or to make particular members target.

The Silverlake base was located within Silverlake City, below it to be exact. They had had it built in an old disused bunker, the one place no one would think to look. It was out in the back behind a house, the land itself belonging to their very own Lexiah Summers. She had had the whole underground system fully renovated and given a full overhaul in the same year she had lost her parents, using it as her place to hide away from the virus which killed her parents, that was until she learnt that it was an accident and the virus wasn't going to deliberately seek her out to kill her.

The Summer's girl had been left her family's fortune as well as their estate. However she would not be alone, the housekeeper who ran the house was left to take care of the small girl and to teach her properly for her class. This didn't go as planned. She grew up quickly, always running around and getting into all kinds of mischief, insisting on taking things apart so she could get a better look and when something was broken she would swear until she blue in the face that they were telling her they were in pain and as she got older, they were telling her what was wrong. Encouraging her healthy appetite of curiosity, the housekeeper let her bring all kinds of things home from the scrap heaps, letting her tinker away day and night, making new things while also fixing the old.

It was on another of these occasions the 20 year old girl could be found deep within the base she now called home, along with the other members of her unit. Her room was also what had been dubbed 'the pitstop' the place where all things came for repair or maintenance. The housekeeper stood in the entranceway as he watched over his charge who was currently straddling her latest project, an extremely outdated android model, from before the time where the word synthetic had been put into use to refer to the robots. She straightened up as she moved her goggles from over her eyes and onto the top of her head.
“I know it still feels abit funny, just let it rest and cool for an hour and then I'll finish off yoru chest unit ok? After that we can get started on your arms, I'm going to have build you some new ones though”
White glowing eyes flickered off and then back on as though signalling that the robot understood which just proved to make the girl smile brightly before climbing swiftly off the table and the android she had been straddling and over to where she last left her drink, drinking from it deeply.

Left to her own devices however, Unit Serenity roamed the many corridors, checking in on the other inhabitance by popper her head around the doors, causing the cropped mousey blonde hair to swish alittle from the movement before she straightened up and continued on her way. The female droid often offered aid and support to anyone who needed it, busying her time with taking care and helping others in her own silent way. Hidden beneath her clothes were the few telltale traits that showed that she wasn't human, and in the streets when she had been out to obtain more supplies for their little band, she had always been mistaken for a weak and feeble girl. Her cyan, slightly glowing, coloured eyes looked around at the empty kitchen and dining area before looking to the nearest clock. 'Finally' She thought to herself, 'something I can do. Everyone will need to eat, the doctor will get mad if they all start getting sick from not taking care of themselves'
With a small nod to herself, she proceeded further into the underground room and set to making breakfast for the inhabitance of the hidden underground rebel base.

Akira didn't have to be above ground to know when the sun had risen or not, it had been programmed into him ever since he could remember to be up before dawn to go through basic drills and now it was just auto pilot. Slipping from his bed, he looked around the small room. When they had first moved to the underground lair, he had volunteered to take the smallest room, used to living the minimalist life. He had been asked if he was sure and ok with that but the only answer they received was once of his silent yet stern nods.

Making his way over to the small bedside table, he picked up the small bottle there and giving it a slight shake, damn, 'I'm out', he thought to himself before placing the bottle back down with a muted sigh. Opening the draw below the now known to be empty bottle, Akira pulled out a pair of bandaged, shutting the draw with his bare foot while proceeding to strap up his hands and wrists, not taking long before setting about his normal routine. Beginning with his warm up, workout then cool down before even considering emerging to find a shower or food source. 'I'll have to check in with the doc too' came another mental note across his mind as he silently counted his first set of 50 press-ups.
