~*Basilisk*~

Panting heavily as a young black haired male slowly slide down to the dirt floor behind a large rock. He held a single hand over his right shoulder blade as his entire palm soon began drenched in his own dark green blood, he cursed silently to himself at the pain that surged through his body from both the pain of being injured but as well as the poison in his body spreading quickly throughout his body. Reaching for a small pouch that he left holstered on the right side of his waist belt, he pulled out a small needle that was strangely filled with some sort of teal liquid. In an instant he quickly jabbed the needle into his left arm; with a small grunt of pain from the needle being injected into his arm, the liquid slowly came out from the syringe and went immediately into his blood stream. With a deep exhale of relief of the antidote now going through his body, the young dark skinned male slowly stood back up to his feet and progressed his way through the dense forest. With each step he took, he dragged his feet across the forest floor with a limp from his wound. Every so often, making sure to take a glimpse behind him to see if his enemies were still after him.

He could hear the many male voices echoing throughout the forest area as they called out to one another to take different directions in groups to find the young male. These creatures were none other than Goblins, they were in search for Basilisks in hopes to be able to cut them open and use their poisons to be able to enhance their weapons to be able to do damage just as powerful as the poison that have been legendary around the lands of mythical creatures. This young male wasn't about to give up his life so easily just for a group of creatures that were so curious about something they weren't ever going to get a hold of. After several minutes of continuous limping; the young dark skinned male had finally come across a large open area that held a lake. The bright white full moon shined it's reflection across the open water as the young basilisk dropped to his knees; coughing up his green poisonous blood onto the muddy ground before him. "Come on...Just give me a few more seconds." He whispered silently to himself as the sound of the annoying goblin voices came ever closer with each passing moment.

As he remained kneeling in front of the large open area; a quick jolt of relief shot through the young male's body as he exhaled yet another sigh, this time with a bit more confidence. "Finally.." Those were the last words that came from his lips as the several groups of goblins had finally approached the open area with the lake as they all rendezvoused around the young basilisk with all their swords and spears directed straight towards his body. The leader of the group had demanded for the male to surrender himself to the goblins and come with them quietly or they would kill him; the male gave nothing more than silence in return as the skin around the male's body began to crack all around his facial area and down his entire back down to his tail. In an instant, the body dropped backwards onto the floor as nothing more than an empty shell but the male continued to remained kneeled on the muddy ground; this time completely healed of his wounds and his body dripping with slight bits of slimy green liquids. "Give up..hm? Do we honestly have to fight...I mean, at this point; I will give you one final chance to leave me. Please, do yourself a favor and leave..I don't wish to harm you." The male spoke up as the group of goblins quickly let out their obnoxious laughter before raising their weapons and preparing to attack due to hearing the male's demands.

Immediately as their weapons came down upon the male, they were quickly stopped as a pitch black shell came over his body to protect him from each of their weapons. "I warned you..forgive me." The male basilisk spoke up one final time as his voice deepened with his sentence coming to an end. The goblins had all began to bash their sharpen weapons onto the black shell as though they were hoping to break through it with no luck. In a matter of moments, the shell quickly shattered in an instant with a humongous tail swooping the area around him; crushing the trees and splashing the water into a large wave across the forest. The goblins had all gone flying in opposite directions, each one of them either being killed by the force of being slammed by the large body of the basilisk if not the impact of wherever they landed harmed them severely. Those who might've even possibly survived had no other choice but to crawl if not limp away to safety. The amount of damage that the young basilisk had done to the area had gave him the once densely thick forest, now about three to four mile flattened plain of debris.

By the time the dust and dirt had settled down, there was no longer the large snake-like creature that once did that amount damage but the young dark skinned male. Taking a light glimpse around the amount of damage he had done, he gave a concerned frown as he turned his attention away from the direction he had run from and continued on his path north. He had overheard rumors on his travels that there was a town nearby that shockingly held many races all together there that actually were able to live together throughout this senseless war. Curious about whether or not this rumor were true, the young basilisk went on his way.

~*Phoenix*~

Crouching in front of a small flower that was high up above on a cold mountain at the edge of a cliff; a male with violet hair held out onto a small notebook and pen along with several other colored pens and pencils in a small pouch on the rocky surface next to him. Remaining crouched in front of the delicate yet very detailed plant, he traced the picture into his notebook carefully. From time to time he lifted his gaze between his picture and the flower to make sure that he was getting every part of the shape correctly, this was his first time visiting harpy territory and knowing even during the war that all the races pretty much disliked each other to a large extent; the male phoenix wasn't about to let some war stop him from learning things that he never knew about the other races. Switching between the different coloring tools he had at his disposal, shaded in different parts of the plant on his notepad until a large gust of wind came by him and nearly ripped the plant off from the edge of the cliff.

Luckily enough, the violet haired male was able to reach out and stop the flower from blowing away as he cupped it into his hand and gave a small chuckle. He knew that the mountains was a dangerous place to be; especially compared to how the harpies lived within the mountains at their villages where the wind wasn't as powerful compared to the outside and even more higher up towards the tip of the mountain itself. Tucking away his drawing notebook and packing up his things, the male phoenix had pulled out yet another notebook; this one being a deep brownish color that held many different flowers inside it that were pressed with the help of a strap that was wrapped around the book itself. Opening up the strap and flipping through the pages for an empty spot, he placed the newly found flower carefully onto the page before closing the book softly and wrapping the strap around it once more. "Another one for the book." He spoke to himself with another small laugh before closing his eyes for a second or so.

Quickly reopening his eyes in an instant, a small smirk came across the male's lips as his once light purple eyes had now shifted to a more reddish orange color. With the change of his eyes, in the next second his body was immediately engulfed in flames as he bolted off the side of the mountain and straight into the open air. For a matter of moments, those who would've seen him would see nothing more than what looked like a giant ball of flames dash throughout the open sky and vanish in the blink of an eye through the clouds, only leaving a small trail of fire that began to vanish in moments. Flapping his wings throughout the open sky, his body soon took shape to be a giant bird. Flying through the sky; over several different territories of different races, he came across several battlefields that were both nothing more than wastelands from previous battles due to this war if not there were even some battles that continued on as he flew over them. Luckily, with the help of the clouds; he was able to keep out of sight as he flew over the fighting towards a small hideout that he had far into a neutral area of the many lands that were controlled by other races. The area wasn't exactly too large, it was just somewhere that was quite secluded from the many other races and he found it to be quite a great place to remain hidden from the other races.
