Introduction:

New Rome Birthing Quarters.

Those quarters are the fist thing anyone sees when they are born, unless they are unfortunate enough to be born a Garou. The staff even accept the Remi outcasts mothers, as a new life is always treated equaly to the other in this harsh but fair community, though the Garou are an oblivious exeption as their very nature wrapped itself around the moondust in the air and the comet's residues darkening the sky.

Today another being would be born, the genetical makeup of his parents the only things they will give the newborn as Romuli society believed in self-made individuals. That new life will have many ordeal to overcome before it is accepted as a valuable member of the Roma race, a Romuli. Will the youndg one be up to the task? For now it is in dire need of a name, a gender and basic luxuries such as a blanket and milk, as the mother leaves it in the care of the nursing staff, going back to her life without a backward glance at the one she bore for nine long months. Here our story begins, with this new life, still blank in personality and history.

Now child, how will you grow?

Background

When the Moon was mutually destroyed by the comet Lupae and blocking the sun from the Earth with their blanketing residues, the world turned into terrified chaos, scientists frantically trying to find a way to preserve the human race at any cost. Thus the entire world took refuge underground while those research took place, hoping that the solution would be found soon. This search stretched on for two years where human adapted by feeding on animal that managed to survive, changing their diets to a purely carnivorous one. Wolves, it was discovered, were both tasty and had warm pelts that helped in those frigid weathers.

The scientists finally found an answer to their frantic battle for survival: The merging of human DNA with the tenacious wolves and lichen still populating the earth. This was done by the scientists' knowledge in DNA manipulating and made the Roma race, beings that needed meat and light to survive, as without meat they would starve and without light they would go mad, turning into grotesque shades of themselves, called Garou by frigthened children at night.

Characters

The Roma race is formed of three castes: The Romuli, who are living in comfort in their city of light known as New Rome, the Remi, the outcasts living in the lantern-lit outskirts of New Rome and the Garou, ferocious beings deprived of light and reduced to rabid beasts.

The Romuli are a strict and often harsh community where an individual's worth is weighted by their action. If those action do not earn them the acceptance of their peers, they are exiled to the Remi Outskirts. Those who walk away from the protection of the various lights of the city becomes Garou, and are treated as Boogeymans by the other Roma.

The Roma are strictly carnivorous in nature and only drink water besides their predatory diet.

Most Roma only have pointed ears, stronger nails and pointier teeth distinguishing them from their Human ancestors.
