For a moment, Ryugamine Sakurai did not even register the alarm after the knock upon the door. He groaned slightly, as the music started low then got louder. A slight sigh passed from his lips, as he rolled over and reached up above him to the shelf above to shut it off. For a moment, he laid there in the still relativly empty room. He had only gotten in not long ago, so he still had a lot of unpacking to do. He slipped the covers away from his body, a slight chill moving over his skin as he did so. He sat up on the edge, his mind travelling to the day.

It was Monday, the first day of school. An odd nervous and slightly sinking feeling settled into his stomach, as he pushed himself off of the bed. He took care to make it, he was used to keeping everything neat and in perfect order. It was how he was raised, and merely just a part of his personality. He made his way to the bathroom, taking a hot shower to help wake him up from his sleep. He then moved back to his room, glancing at the clothes he had managed to unpack as of that day. He decided on something a bit casual, but formal as well.

He picked a pair of dark pants, a black sweater that went low over his hands and a gray coat. Looking in the mirror, he smiled a bit at how the outfit came together. It was fitting for a first day. He had a simple black bag that went over the shoulder. It had a blue design on the front, his families crest. A slight sigh once more passed through his lips, before he slipped on a ring that had the same insignia. It had been his fathers, and his grandfathers...so on back for many generations.

It was passed from one head of the family to another. Now it was his since he was of age to begin learning more into taking over. That was part of the reason why he was here, or mainly so his father thought. He slipped downstairs, pausing unseen for a few moments to watch his cousin within the kitchen. A saddness threatened to grip his heart. He was skilled at hiding a lot within himself, which made it a lot easier to see the hidden pain and weight within the other's movements and expressions. His cousin was carrying a lot and attempting to keep it inside as so not to worry him or others.

He looked down at the family ring upon his finger, and for a moment his eyes slightly seemed to darken. He pushed the thoughts and feelings from his mind, placing on a happier and lighter look for the other as he stepped into the room. "Morning" he said, placing his bag on the back of one of the chairs near his cousin. "Did you sleep well?" he asked, retrieving a glass and some water himself. He did not wish to add to his cousin's pain and worries, he would put aside what was inside and on him, and focus on doing what he could to help the one he cared about most within this world at the moment.
