Well, if your modem went out then your router light will be off because of it (the one for internet activity). Usually when that happens you have to either reset it or you have to call your internet service to help you fix it if you accidentally end up reseting the router (you should never touch that). Or troubleshoot/disconnect and reconnect your internet connection on your computers, that usually helps sometimes too.

We had a lot of problems with our internet because of electrical surges in this house. XD
