Ellie was still rubbing at her forehead and she nodded. "Yeah," she replied. "We came through a trap door in the basement." Her features took on a dreamy look. "Alex knew to look for it," she added, "he's so smart." She grimaced after that. "You saw cave people, too? Hmm...," Ellie hummed in thought.
"They were in the caves, too. But we found costumes," she explained. "All of the things in the cave attached to the building are labeled 'Yoga Supplies', but it all looks to be mining equipment. And there's a foreclosure letter in the basement for the studio," she filled her friend in. When Sarah shined her light on Ellie's phone, she bent to pick it up. "Thanks," she said.
"Alex is still in the basement, maybe," she said, unsure. "He's got an idea for a trap," she added in that dreamy tone. And of course he did, that was just Alex. "Let's find Allan and then we'll call the others," if they hadn't shown up by then. Ellie tucked a piece of hair behind her ear, unaware at how dirty she'd gotten in the caves, or how tattered bits of her clothes had become. Not that she would care, she had the outfit in a handful of colors. Hopefully she hadn't broken any nails though. That would be a real tragedy.
